Buckingham Palace has provided a new update on the health of King Charles.

Speaking to NBC News, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said that His Majesty’s cancer treatment is “moving in the right direction.”

Progress has been made in the King’s treatment but the same source stressed that the cancer is in a “managed condition” and treatment will continue in 2025.

While attending a reception at Waltham Forest Town Hall on 20 December, King Charles joked about his health: “I’m still alive,” he said after Harvinder Rattan, a representative of the Sikh faith, asked him how he was doing.

The King has remained in good spirits throughout his treatment and resumed public-facing duties in April.

The King was diagnosed with an undisclosed cancer earlier this year after a procedure for an enlarged prostate. He has been in treatment ever since.
