US President Donald Trump has said he will not deport Prince Harry from the United States.
The President of the United States confirmed that the Duke of Sussex will not be booted from America, saying Harry has “enough problems with his wife.”
Trump was asked by the New York Post if he would have Harry deported back to the United Kingdom.
“I don’t want to do that,” he said. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
Harry lives in Montecito, California, with his wife, American Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The pair stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to Meghan’s home state.
Trump has previously criticised both Harry and Meghan.
In an interview with the Daily Express before the 2024 election, he said: “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen [the late Queen Elizabeth II]. It is unforgivable. He would be able to fend for himself if it was up to me.”
Prince Harry admitted to drug use in his memoir Spare and the Heritage Foundation in the United States filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Biden administration, seeking to have the Prince’s immigration records made public.
However, a judge ruled that his US visa application would remain private.
