Queen Camilla will attend a Thanksgiving Service for the late King Constantine of Greece at Windsor Castle alongside other members of the British Royal Family and the Greek Royal Family.
Buckingham Palace said the British and Greek royals would be joined by foreign royal families for the service led by the Dean of Windsor, the Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth.
The service will take place on 27 February in the Nave at St George’s Chapel to pay tribute to the last King of the Hellenes.
It has not been announced which members of the British Royal Family will join Queen Camilla and the Greek royals. However, the Prince of Wales may attend as King Constantine was his godfather. Princess Anne, the Duke of York and the Duke of Edinburgh are all second cousins to the late monarch and could attend, as well.
King Constantine died on 10 January 2023 after years of health battles. His funeral occurred on 16 January in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, and he was buried at the Royal Cemetery at Tatoi Palace.
The late King of Greece was related to the British Royal Family through King Charles’s father, Prince Philip, who was born a Prince of Greece and Denmark. King Constantine was a second cousin to King Charles III. Constantine was also a godfather to the Prince of Wales.
