Queen Camilla has honoured her mother-in-law in her first speech as queen.
Camilla gave the speech to the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
She said that Elizabeth is still very much missed. “Over the past few months, my husband and I have been greatly supported by the condolences we have received, and continue to receive, from all over the world. They remind us that the written word has a unique quality to connect, heal, reassure and give hope, even in a time of mourning.”
After the speech there was a photo opportunity with the prize winners.
