Queen Camilla has revealed she has adopted a new puppy.

During a visit to the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury, the Queen told a group that she had adopted a new puppy.

Queen Camilla said while meeting guide dogs: “I’ve just got a new puppy. Eight weeks old… It’s the best thing.”

She explained that the pup’s breed was “a bit of everything.”

Her Majesty also added: “She’s called Moley. Looks just like a mole!”

Rebecca English later revealed that the female puppy was born on Boxing Day and came from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, like her other dogs. She’s half Jack Russell Terrier on her mother’s side and her father’s breed is unknown.

A spokesperson for Battersea later confirmed: “We’re pleased to confirm that Battersea has recently rehomed an 8-week-old Jack Russell Terrier cross female puppy, called Moley, to our Patron, Her Majesty The Queen.”

Just a few months ago, the Queen’s beloved rescue Jack Russell Terrier Beth died and the dog held a special place in Her Majesty’s heart. A likeness of Beth and Queen Camilla’s other dog, Bluebell, was embroidered on her Coronation gown.
