The Princess Royal visited MND fundraisers at Headingley Rugby Stadium.

Princess Anne, who is the Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, thanked the fundraisers for their support. They raised a significant amount of money for MND research.

She joined Rob Burrow, a former England Rugby League and Leeds Rhinos player. He was diagnosed with MND in 2019. She described both Rob and his teammate Kevin Sinfield as “extraordinary.”

Lindsey Burrow, Rob’s wife, told the BBC, “She just asked us about the MNDA [Motor Neurone Disease Association] and how they supported us as a family. Very down to earth, she was lovely.”
