Princess Royal injured in incident on Gatcombe Park estate

Buckingham Palace has announced that the Princess Royal was injured following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate.

She has sustained minor injuries and a concussion following the incident, which took place yesterday event. She was admitted to and remains in Southmead Hospital in Bristol as a a precautionary measure
for observation, and she is expected to make a full and swift recovery.

Her brother, the King, has been kept closely informed and sends his “fondest love and well-wishes” to the Princess.

Princess Anne’s engagements for the coming week will be postponed. According to Buckingham Palace, she “sends her apologies to any who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
