Lady Gabriella Kingston was left “deeply touched” after a memorial service was held for her late husband, Thomas Kingston, at St Mary Abbots Church.
The private memorial was attended by some members of the Royal Family; however, King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales were not among those in attendance.
A spokesperson for Gabriella and her family said: “Lady Gabriella and the Kingston family have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love, kindness and support they have received over the past difficult months. They were grateful today for the chance to celebrate – and give thanks for – the life of a wonderful man, among so many of those who knew and loved him too.”
Gabriella recently stepped back into public life with her attendance at Trooping the Colour and Royal Ascot. She was seen hugging her cousin Zara Tindall and riding in a carriage with the Princess Royal during the annual horse racing event.
Gabriella is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Thomas Kingston died from a traumatic head wound on 25 February at the age of 45. His private funeral took place on 12 March.
He had been married to Gabriella since 2019.
