King Charles III’s new Great Seal of the Realm has been unveiled.
This seal is traditionally affixed to official State documents to signify Royal approval, and it is a symbol of sovereign authority. Each British monarch had their own unique seal created during their reign.
The face of the seal shows King Charles seated on a throne, while the back shows the royal arms designed by heraldic artist Timothy Noad.

King Charles has now approved the new Great Seal of the Realm and Counter Seal, and he has entrusted it into the custody of the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, during a Privy Council meeting this week.
The approval of the new seal is one of the final stages of the transition into King Charles III’s reign.
