Kensington Palace has shared some exciting travel plans for the Prince of Wales next month.
At the request of the British Government, the Prince of Wales will embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next month. The Prince will be in the Kingdom from Monday, 9th to Wednesday, 11th February 2026.
Kensington Palace said:
His Royal Highness’ visit comes as the UK and Saudi Arabia celebrate growing trade, energy and investment ties, and as the two nations approach a century of diplomatic relations.
The United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia established Diplomatic Relations in 1927 following the signing of the Treaty of Jeddah—formally the Treaty between His Majesty and His Majesty the King of the Hejaz and of Nejd and Its Dependencies—that recognised Saudi sovereignty while protecting the boundaries of U.K. interest. The Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd later unified as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932
Next month will see a first for Prince William, who has never previously visited the Kingdom. The Prince will fulfil the role of representing the U.K. and King Charles abroad once more. His Royal Highness represented the U.K. last year in November at COP30 in Brazil, in June at the BEFF in Monaco, and on an official visit to Estonia in March.
Prince William most recently visited the Middle East in December 2023 following the death of the Emir of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
The Palace confirmed that further details will be released relating to the official visit in February. The Royal News Organisation will keep you up to date with all the announcements and events for next month.
