King of Bhutan receives seven honorary doctorates

The King of Bhutan has been presented with honorary doctorates from seven universities in Thailand.

A ceremony was held at Dungkar Dzong with delegations from the universities. The King thanked the universities for their gesture of recognition and the people of Thailand for their friendship.

Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University presented the King with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Buddhism, and Chiang Mai University presented the King with an Honorary Degree of Science in Agriculture. Chiang Mai Rajabhat University presented the King with an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Science for Sustainable Local Development. Khon Kaen University presented the King with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science in Agricultural Extension. Mae Fah Luang University presented the King with an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Social Sciences. Maejo University presented the King with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Organic Agriculture Management, and Thammasat University presented the King with an Honorary Degree in the field of Creative Development.
