Casa Real alters official visit to Jordan due to escalation in Middle East

Casa Real has altered the King and Queen’s official visit to Jordan due to escalation in the Middle East.

Previously, both King Felipe and Queen Letizia were to visit Jordan, but due to the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organisations, Hamas and Hezbollah, the Queen will no longer make the trip.

The visit has also been shortened by a day. King Felipe will now only be in Jordan for two days beginning on 5 October and concluding on 6 October.

The decision to shorten the trip was taken in consultation with the Royal Hashemite Court in Jordan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

King Abdullah of Jordan extended the invitation to his Spanish counterpart to deepen the ties between Jordan and Spain.
