Princess Yuriko of Japan’s health has been improving.
The 100-year-old Princess was hospitalised in early March after possibly suffering a cerebral infarction and having aspiration pneumonia. She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the time. After a few days, she was moved to a general ward and was recovering well from the pneumonia.
She then suffered a setback and experienced shortness of breath, and she had symptoms of heart failure and cerebral infarction. She had trouble moving the right side of her body again.
During a press conference with the Imperial Household Agency, it was stated that the Princess’s health had improved considerably over the past week and had returned to its previous state. She resumed the rehabilitation program on 25 March.
