Princess Aiko, the only child of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan, visited the Geku of Ise Grand Shrine to report on her graduation.

The Princess arrived by train and was enthusiastically received by the public. She was greeted at the train station by Mie Prefecture Governor Katsuyuki.

This will be the first visit to the Ise Shrine in ten years and it is her first solo visit.

After the visit to the Ise Shrine, Princess Aiko stayed overnight in Toba City and toured the Saiku History Museum and Itsukinomiya History Experience Center in Meiwa Town the following day. She also visited the Mausoleum of Emperor Jimmu.
