Infanta Sofía of Spain will not undertake military training like her older sister, Princess Leonor.

Casa Real confirmed that the royal, who will turn 18 later this month, will not train with the military.

Zarzuela Palace confirmed the reports in the Spanish media: “As of today, Infanta Sofía is not considering military training.”

The Infanta will graduate from UWC Atlantic in Wales in May of this year, and she will head off to university.

It is unknown if she will attend university in Spain or abroad.

She has reportedly submitted applications to several schools and is awaiting acceptance.

Princess Leonor, heir to the Spanish throne, is undergoing training in each of Spain’s military branches in preparation for her future role as monarch.
