Princess Aiko of Japan will attend her first spring garden party on 23 April.
The garden parties are held every spring and autumn at the Akasaka Gyoen National Garden, and the Emperor and Empress often invite distinguished people from various fields. Over 1,700 invites have gone out for this particular garden party.
This number is an increase from last year, and it will also be the first time since the pandemic that a light meal will be served.
Princess Aiko is the only of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako and she recently graduated from university.
