King Frederik X of Denmark has opened University City in Aarhus.
He was greeted by, among others, the Chair of the Board of Directors of Aarhus University, Birgitte Nauntofte, the Rector of Aarhus University, Brian Bech Nielsen, and the CEO of the Aarhus University Research Foundation, Jørgen Lang.

King Frederik toured the district and learned how the university’s activities have been consolidated and how the former Municipal Hospital has been transformed into a modern campus.
At the City Auditorium, the opening of the new campus was marked by musical performances and a lecture. A speech was held by the Rector of Aarhus University, Brian Bech Nielsen. King Frederik cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the opening.
