The Princess of Orange has made a two-day visit to Amsterdam.

She began her visit to Amsterdam with a brunch with Mayor Femke Halsema before heading to the Science Park. She was introduced to Lab42 and attended an AI workshop. During a roundtable discussion, she took part in a discussion about the upcoming technological challenges. Afterwards, she toured the AMOLF labs, where she learned about solar energy.

She then headed to South East Amsterdam, where she visited a foundation that helps young people develop leadership qualities through sports and social activities. The Princess watched a demonstration of 3×3 basketball. Moving on to Amsterdam Nieuw-West, Princess Amalia learned about the neighbourhood, focusing on housing and participation. During a walk through the neighbourhood, she was shown recently completed housing, including a mix of social housing, mid-market rentals, and private-sector houses.

In the evening, the Princess visited an organisation which helps women in vulnerable situations. They offer work-study programs to help the women rejoin society. Afterwards, she learned more about Amsterdam’s nightlife and DJs who have recently completed DJ training performed for her.

The Friday program began with lunch in the Zuidas area, where Princess Amalia was joined by young professionals who shared their ambitions. In the afternoon, she visited locations participating in the Warmoes Biennial.

In the north of Amsterdam, Princess Amalia visited a community centre and attended a cooking class for children. She spoke with residents about changes in the neighbourhood.

In the evening, Princess Amalia visited the Amsterdam police force. She observed the control room and visited a police station before joining them on a patrol.
