Crown Prince Haakon and Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway have met with entrepreneurs at Startuplab in the Research Park.

Startuplab is an early-stage investor in technology-based startups, having invested in over 200 companies and supported nearly 1,000 startups since its inception in 2012.

Crown Prince Haakon and his son, Prince Sverre Magnus, visited the Research Park, also known as Oslo Science Park, to meet with entrepreneurs from companies such as Winterleap, Oivi and Litech. They received a demonstration from HÃ¥kon Skirstad Grin from Optifish, who uses AI and optimisation algorithms to plan and optimise production in land-based salmon farms.

They were invited to lunch and a roundtable discussion by Startuplab, where the barriers and opportunities for growth in Norway were discussed.

Afterwards, Crown Prince Haakon and Prince Sverre Magnus visited the research centre Ocean Industries Concept Lab at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). They learned about a system called Openbridge.

At the school, Crown Prince Haakon and Prince Sverre Magnus officially opened their new code library by publishing the source code.
