The Cartier Pearl Drop Tiara is part of the Monegasque princely collection.
The tiara features diamonds, gold and platinum. It has large pearl drops hanging en tremblant from arches. The tiara was made by Cartier for Princess Charlotte of Monaco, the mother of Prince Rainier III. Charlotte ordered the tiara in 1949.
Charlotte wore the tiara throughout her life, such as during the wedding celebrations of her son and Grace Kelly. Grace never wore the tiara in public. Her daughter, Caroline, has been the most recent wearer of the tiara, which may indicate that she inherited it.
