Queen Rania visits Asayel Bader Charity Society

Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Asayel Bader Charity Society in Amman and met women from the local community.

The Queen of Jordan met beneficiaries of the charity and learned about how it helps empower the local community.

Her Majesty spoke to Iman Al Abbadi, President of the Asayel Bader Charity Society, who, alongside other board members, explained the inspiration behind the organisation.

Al Abbadi explained the development initiatives (including the creation of employment opportunities) and provided information about the collaboration with academic volunteers and environmental activists. The latter support local farmers by helping to sell their products.

Later, the Queen spoke to those who have benefited from the charity and learned about the impact it has had on their lives before receiving a tour. Her Majesty saw some of the products created by those involved with the society and experienced a bread-making station and sewing workshop.

On social media, Queen Rania thanked the charity for their work and the welcome she received: “Thank you for your hospitality and for your inspiring commitment to your community.”

The Asayel Bader Charity Society was founded in 2019 in Bader Al Jadeedah. According to Her Majesty’s office, it is “dedicated to economic empowerment, agricultural development, and the preservation of Jordan’s cultural heritage. Its initiatives aim to promote sustainable agriculture and social development.”
