The Norwegian Royal Palace in Oslo is open to the public for the summer with a special exhibit on the wedding of the Crown Prince Couple.

To celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, outfits and table settings from the couple’s 2001 nuptials are on display.

Included in the exhibit is the Crown Princess’s ivory silk crêpe wedding gown by Ove Harder Finseth and Crown Prince Haakon’s military uniform in the Great Hall.

The Great Dining Room has a replica of the table setting from the couple’s reception.

In addition, the outfits worn by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess from the evening before the wedding are on display in the Main Hall.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will mark their 25th wedding anniversary on 25 August. Celebrations for their silver anniversary have been postponed due to the Crown Princess’s health. She recently underwent a lung transplant at Oslo University Hospital. Her health has deteriorated quickly over the past few months after her 2018 diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis.

The Royal Palace will be open to the public from 20 June to 16 August.
