Queen Sonja of Norway has opened the summer season at Oscarshall.
For the occasion, the Queen unveiled a sculpture by Kjell Erik Killi-Olsen in the park.

The sculpture, called “She who searches for the sea”, and it is one of four sculptures by Killi-Olsen that will be on display at the pleasure palace this summer.
The works are located in the park of the palace and will be freely accessible to everyone during opening hours.
The Oscarshall Summer Palace is located on the Bygdøy peninsula just outside Oslo, surrounded by a park. It was completed in 1852, around the same time as the Royal Palace in Oslo. The architect was Johan Henrik Nebelong.
