Queen Silvia of Sweden has visited Poland with the World Childhood Foundation with Social Services Minister Camilla Waltersson Grönwall.

During her visit to Warsaw, Queen Silvia said, “Since the full-scale invasion, we (Childhood) have devoted much of our attention, our thoughts and our resources to Ukraine. We would love to visit you in Ukraine. But at the moment, it is not possible, so we are happy that we can meet here.”

The Queen and the Social Services Minister learned more about the work of the local partners in Ukraine.

Camilla Waltersson Grönvall said, “Strengthening children’s rights and helping children who are in vulnerable situations is important both to me as the responsible minister for children’s rights and to the government. I am delighted that HM the Queen gave me the opportunity to make this trip to Warsaw. The Queen’s long-term commitment to children’s rights issues is a great source of inspiration for me and all of us.”
