Crown Princess Victoria becomes patron of Pink Ribbon campaign

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is the patron of the Pink Ribbon campaign for the 15th year in a row.

The Pink Ribbon campaign begins today and will run for the entire month of October. During a conference at the royal palace, the Cancer Foundation’s secretary-general Ulrika Årehed Kågström and the Cancer Foundation’s research board chair, Malin Sund, spoke about their work, the latest research and the upcoming campaign.

Ulrika Årehed Kågström said, “We are proud that HRH the Crown Princess is the patron of the Pink Ribbon campaign and through this supports our vision to defeat cancer. The Crown Princess’s commitment is an important part of showing that there are many of us who stand behind, support, and drive the fight forward. Because everyone is affected and all contributions – big or small – are needed to achieve more progress. Together, we make a difference.”
