Princess Margriet of the Netherlands has opened the 75th edition of the Keukenhof.

The Princess has been visiting the Keukenhof flower exhibit since the very first year. Her first visit was with her mother, Queen Juliana, who was the patron of the Keukenhof, and her sisters. Over the years, Princess Margriet has opened the exhibit several times.

This year, the exhibit will feature items from the past and a look behind the scenes from 1949 until now. At the end of the season, the exhibit will be closed with an open-air concert. Around 1.4 million people are expected to visit the Keukenhof.
