Princess Irene of the Netherlands has shared her beliefs on the afterlife.

The aunt of King Willem-Alexander believes in life after death “in another dimension.”

The Princess made the remarks during the EO programme Adieu God? hosted by Tijs van den Brink.

Princess Irene, 85, is not afraid of death and has thought about it for a while; although, she admits there’s no way for a person to know when they will pass away.

“I think it is part of it. Everything is finite. But everything starts over again. In fact, the whole existence is a circle, or maybe a spiral,” the royal said.

She is also curious about what the afterlife looks like: “Am I afraid of death? No, not at all. When I’m alive, I think it’s fantastic and when I die, I’m very curious about what it’s like there.”

Regarding her thoughts on life in another dimension, she remarked: “A lot of people feel the presence of loved ones who have died around them, for a long time,” before adding that she feels the presence of her mother, Queen Juliana and sister, Princess Christina, with her.
