Queen Máxima was leaving an event when she was asked about the condition of her eldest daughter.
She answered, “Well, fine. She is being brave.” When pressed again if she is feeling well, the Queen answered, “She feels… well, I don’t know at the moment because I am not with her. But she is okay. Thank you for asking.”
Shortly after saying goodbye to the organisers, she is asked if she will go visit Princess Amalia today. To this, the Queen nods and says, “Yes, right now.”
Princess Amalia fell from her horse yesterday and broke her upper arm. She underwent successful surgery at UMC Utrecht and is expected to remain one more day for monitoring.
The summer photo call, which had been planned for tomorrow, has been postponed until 30 June.
