Prince Gabriel of Belgium will continue his education in the military.
Prince Gabriel will receive his Master’s Degree in Social and Military Sciences today, and it has been announced that he will continue his training in Arlon.
The royal palace told VRT NWS, “Prince Gabriel will continue his path within the Defence Forces at the Infantry School in Arlon, where he will be trained as an infantry platoon commander. Subsequently, he will undergo paratrooper training in Marche-les-Dames and Schaffen.” Following this, he will obtain the paratrooper badge.
Prince Gabriel began his degree in August 2022, and as a trainee officer, he combined his classes with sport and military training. He will be the first Belgian prince to complete the full Social and Military Sciences program at the Royal Military Academy.
The Prince also spent some time abroad. He spent six months in France at the military academy Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan, where he obtained his parachute certificate. He also went to a military camp in Morocco and completed an internship in French Guiana.
