The Prince and Princess of Monaco have welcomed the Olympic Torch Relay to Monaco.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert welcomed the torch outside the Princely Palace as it makes its way to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games that begin next month.

The Prince and Princess attended wearing matching white Paris 2024 outfits like the other Olympic torchbearers.

They were joined by their nine-year-old twins, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, as well as the Princess of Hanover and her son (Pierre Casiraghi) and daughter-in-law (Beatrice Borromeo).

This was the first time the Olympic Torch had made its way through Monaco since 1968.

The Olympics are close to both Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. Albert and Charlene have competed in the Olympic Games; Albert in the Winter Olympics in 1988, 1992, 1994, 1998, and 2002 for Monaco and Charlene in the 2000 Summer Olympics for South Africa. Prince Albert is also a member of the International Olympic Committee.

The Olympic Games will take place from 26 July to 11 August in Paris.
