King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain have attended the annual In Memoriam Concert for victims of terrorism.
The concert usually takes place on the eve of 11 March, which is the day of the Madrid terror attack in 2004, where 193 victims were killed. The concert began with the national anthem and a minute of silence.
The Spanish Radio Television Symphony Orchestra and Choir, led by Marc Korovitc, performed “Elegía”, composed by Eduardo Soutullo for this concert.
The concert was organised by the Victims of Terrorism Foundation and sponsored by the RTVE Orchestra, the National Music Auditorium, the INAEM, the Montemadrid Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the Madrid City Council.
