The Dutch Royal House has joined the social networking site Threads.

The Royal House joined the social media site on 12 January with a post of Queen Maxima holding a needle and thread saying, “The first thread of the Royal House!🧵🪡 On this Threads account you will be kept informed of the activities and work of members of the Royal House.”

Their Threads account can be accessed here.

The account has already amassed over 36,000 followers.

The Dutch Royal House also has profiles on Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, Threads and YouTube.

With three daughters (Princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane) whose ages range from 16-20, it is no wonder the Royal House is so in tune with social media.

Threads is part of Instagram, which is owned by the Meta Company (Facebook). It is accessed through one’s Instagram account with posts, pictures, and videos can all be posted.
