King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands have posted a message of support following an explosion in an apartment building earlier this morning. Part of the complex collapsed and it is feared that people are trapped underneath the rubble.
The message reads, “Our thoughts are with those affected in The Hague after the explosion and fire this morning. We sympathise with all those who have been personally affected or who fear for the fate of their loved ones. Our heart goes out to you and to the emergency services, who are fully committed to the rescue work.”
