Drones have been spotted over the grounds of Princess Beatrix’s home.
Her security detail spotted the drones last November, but the information has only been made public now.
Princess Beatrix lives in Drakensteyn Castle in Lage Vuursche.
Drones were also spotted at a gold vault of De Nederlandsche Bank in Huis ter Heide and near the airbases in Eindhoven and Volkel. A spokesperson for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee confirms that drones have been sighted. “We investigated it, but nothing came of it. No one has been arrested for it either”, said the spokesperson.
It is unclear who was flying the drones.
