Princess Isabella received a special gift from her grandmother, Queen Margrethe, for her 18th birthday.
Queen Margrethe gave her elder granddaughter a diamond and turquoise tiara featuring 11 daisy designs. This was particularly special as the former monarch’s nickname is Daisy.
The gold tiara is a bandeau, and the narrow diadem sits on the head like a headband.
It can also be disassembled and worn as a bracelet.

Princess Isabella donned her special diadem for her first gala portraits that the Danish Royal House released on her 18th birthday.
The bandeau tiara originally belonged to Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden, Isabella’s great-great-grandmother, and was made in the 19th century. Margareta’s daughter, Princess Ingrid, inherited the tiara after her untimely death. Ingrid later became Queen consort of Denmark as the wife of King Frederick IX, and they had three daughters: Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece.
