Denmark’s Princess Benedikte visited Scout Camp 2026 in Hedeland Nature Park in Hedehusene.
The Princess, who is the maternal aunt of King Frederik, travelled to the camp on 23 July.
Princess Benedikte was welcomed to the largest Nordic camp by camp leaders Marie Torp Christensen and Cecilie Viborg Nielsen and deputy chairperson Birgitte Eriksen.
After a reception, the Princess received a tour of the camp and spoke to the young scouts to learn more about the activities they undertake while there.
Scout Camp is held every four years with around 30,000 Danish and international Scouts taking part. This year’s edition is taking place from 28 to 26 July.

Benedikte has long been involved with the Scouts. She was originally introduced by her mother, Queen Ingrid, and has carried on her legacy of supporting the scouting community. She is patron of The Green Girl Guides, Denmark and The Danish Guide and Scout Association.
