The Danish Royal House has revealed more information on the first Royal Run since King Frederik X took the throne in January.

King Frederik will continue to participate in the Royal Run alongside Queen Mary and Crown Prince Christian, the latter of whom is taking on a larger role now that he is the heir to the throne.

King Frederik will take part in the runs beginning in Fredericia before moving on to run in Aarhus and Copenhagen/Frederiksberg.

Queen Mary will run in Kalundborg, while Crown Prince Christian will participate in Brønderslev.

This will not be the first time Christian takes part in the Royal Run. In years past, he has participated alongside his siblings, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.

The initial Royal Run was created to mark King Frederik’s 50th birthday in 2018 and due to the immense support, it has continued every year except 2020 during the midst of the worst part of the pandemic.
