The Danish royals have revealed their plans for the holidays.
King Frederik and Queen Mary will spend Christmas Day at Marselisborg Castle with their children, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. They will be joined by Queen Margrethe. The King and his family will be in residence at Aarhus Castle from 23 until 26 December. Queen Margrethe will be at Marselisborg Castle from 20 to 30 December.
The Danish royals traditionally spent their Christmas at Aarhus.
The King’s brother, Prince Joachim, and his wife, Princess Marie, will spend Christmas with their children with Princess Marie’s family.
King Frederik will hold his first New Year’s Speech on 31 December. It will be held from Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg at 6 p.m.
