British and Danish royals unite for football

The Prince of Wales joined King Frederik and Princess Josephine of Denmark at the England versus Denmark football match in Germany for the UEFA Euro Championships.

The Prince of Wales was in Germany to cheer on England as part of his role as the President of the Football Association, and the King travelled to Germany to root on the Danes with his younger daughter.

Ahead of the match, the royals shared a joint photo on social media saying: “May the best team win.”

The Prince and King sat in the stands together and were seen laughing and chatting throughout the match.

After the game ended in a tie, King Frederik and Princess Josephine posted a selfie on Instagram to say: “Thank you for an exciting match. Well fought Denmark.”

The Prince of Wales and King of Denmark were seen shaking hands after the hard-fought game at Frankfurt Arena.

The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
