From left to right, you’ll first find the Duke of Gloucester. Prince Richard is the son of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, who was the third son of King George V. As thus, he is a first cousin once removed of King Charles. At the time of his birth, he was fifth in the line of succession; he is currently 31st.
Next to Prince Richard is his wife, the Duchess of Gloucester. She is the Danish-born Birgitte Eva van Deurs Henriksen. She married Prince Richard in 1972 and is due to be invested as Royal Lady Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter tomorrow.
Next to her is the Wales family. Prince George, the Prince of Wales, Prince Louis, the Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte. In the centre are King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Next to Queen Camilla are the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the King’s brother and sister-in-law. Their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, is next to them.
Then comes the Princess Royal, the King’s sister, and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence. On the far right side, you’ll find the Duke of Kent. Prince Edward is the son of Prince George, Duke of Kent, the fourth son of King George V. He too is a first cousin once removed of the King. He is currently 41st in the line of succession.
