The British royal family has arrived for Trooping the Colour.
The first carriage to leave Buckingham Palace carried the Duchess of Edinburgh and Sir Timothy Laurence, while the Duke of Kent followed in a car.
The second carriage carried the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Then came King Charles on horseback, followed by his son, the Prince of Wales, his brother, the Duke of Edinburgh and his sister, the Princess Royal.
Following them were the Queen and the Princess of Wales with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
After arriving at Horse Guards, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis went inside to watch from the balcony with the Duchess of Edinburgh. The Duke of Kent, the Queen and the Princess of Wales watched from a platform while King Charles, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal remained on horseback throughout.
It is the first time that King Charles celebrates his official birthday as King. He succeeded his mother upon her death on 8 September 2022. He was crowned just last month.
