The British Royal Family has marked Trooping of the Colour in London to celebrate King Charles’s official birthday.

The annual June event brought together the King, Queen, Wales family, Edinburghs, Kents, Glouchesters, and Princess Anne and Timothy Laurence.

King Charles rode in a carriage again this year during the parade, while the Prince of Wales was on horseback in his capacity as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Welsh Guards. The Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh were also on horseback.

The Princess of Wales rode in a carriage with her three children; Princess Charlotte sat beside her, while Prince George and Prince Louis sat across from her.

After parading through the streets of London, the Royal Family appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a flypast. Only working members of the Royal Family appeared on the balcony.

The royals greeted the crowds below and, before returning inside, young Prince Louis was seen turning around to give one final wave.

Trooping the Colour is the official celebration of the King’s birthday, even though his birthday is not until November. This was the third Trooping the Colour of His Majesty’s reign.
