Queen Elizabeth II is set to be honoured with a London monument.
St James’s Park in London will host the monument for the historic monarch.
In an exclusive report by Russell Myers at the Daily Mirror, a sculpture of the late Queen will be unveiled to the public in 2026.
The late Queen’s former private secretary, Lord Robin Janvrin, chaired the committee and worked with the UK government and Royal Household.
The announcement will reportedly be made over the weekend to coincide with the second anniversary of the late monarch’s death.
St James’s Park is no stranger to royal monuments. The UK’s other historic monarch, Queen Victoria, has a statue outside Buckingham Palace. The Queen’s parents, King George VI and the Queen Mother, are also honoured along the Mall with a statue.
Plans began regarding a memorial after Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022.
