Princess Eugenie has sent encouragement to those with scoliosis.

For International Scoliosis Awareness Day, the Princess shared a photo of her scoliosis surgery scar on Instagram.

She told people to be proud of their scars and encouraged them to share photos of their scars with her. Princess Eugenie then shared them on her Instagram story.

Eugenie added: “To all of you who have just received the diagnosis, to those wearing braces, to those recovering from an operation and for those who have lived with a scar for years – My thoughts are with you on Scoliosis Awareness Day.”

Eugenie’s mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, posted a heart on her daughter’s post that has racked up over 93,000 likes.

Princess Eugenie purposely had her wedding gown designed so that her scoliosis scar would show support to others with the disease.
