The Prince of Wales visited British and Polish troops in Warsaw. The troops are involved in the war in Ukraine.
Prince William learned about the support being given to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as het met the Polish Defence Minister, Mariusz Blaszczak. He continued his visit at the British army base in Rzeszow and learned about the work they have been carrying out. In the evening, he visited an accommodation centre which houses 300 Ukrainian women and children who have fled Ukraine.
On his second day in Poland, Prince William laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Warsaw’s Pilsudski Square. He then travelled to the Presidential Palace for a meeting with the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. He will conclude his two-day visit to Poland by going to the ala Koszyki Food Hall where he will speak to young Ukrainian refugees.
