Prince William speaks to construction workers about mental health

The Prince of Wales visited a building site in London to speak with the construction workers about their mental health.

According to the statistics, people in the building industry have some of the highest suicide rates in the country. Around 500 construction workers took their own lives in 2021.

Prince William said, “We want to help empower people to speak about their problems in a safe space and ensure mental health is embedded in everything we do. It’s important everyone has the ability to be open.”
