King Charles has paid tribute to all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations on Anzac Day.
The year 2025 is particularly poignant as commemorations take place to mark the 110th anniversary of the first landings at Gallipoli in 1915, and the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
A message on the Roya Family social media accounts reads, “On Anzac Day, as we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, I wanted to pay a special tribute to Australian and New Zealand veterans, and those who are on active duty today. Through the generations, you have continued to enact the indomitable spirit of Anzac, forged in terrible conflict and preserved in peace – of courage, mateship and sacrifice. – Charles R”
