The Duke of Edinburgh was in Washington yesterday to visit the British Embassy and to plant a tree to mark #Earthday.

The Duke planted the tree just outside the embassy gates, where it joins a collection of trees that has been planted by three generations of the royal family. It also stands next to a statue of Winston Churchill.
