The Bank of England today unveiled the new design of the King Charles III banknotes.
The King’s portrait will appear on the £5, £10, £20 and £50 banknotes.
The new notes are expected to enter circulation in mid-2024, but the notes with Queen Elizabeth II on them will remain wetting tender. The new banknotes will only be printed to replace worn banknotes.
