It was a rare royal outing for the aunt and nephew, who seemed to enjoy their time at the farming show in Cornwall.

There was even some teasing during the engagement between the pair.

While tasting gin, the Duchess of Edinburgh went to take a second sip and William joked, “You’re not allowed to finish it. You’ve got to watch her.”

Sophie then responded: “He’s learnt from the best.”

This was the Prince’s first visit to the Royal Cornwall Show since he inherited the title upon his father’s accession to the throne in 2022.

William is the patron of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, and the Duchess of Edinburgh is the patron of the Association of Agricultural Show Organisations (ASAO) and the Vice President of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association.
